Agrecalc is a Software as a Service provider who has developed a carbon footprint tool that calculates the carbon footprint of farms.

Our product has an essential and vital purpose, to feed the world sustainably, providing growers, retailers, government and consumers with the information and actions they need to reduce the emissions related to food production.

Now is an a very exciting time to join the Agrecalc team, spinning out from Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) but maintaining a strong relationship with both SRUC and its commercial arm, SAC Consulting.

Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic Office Manager who is willing to support a range of functions across the business and support the setup of our spin out company as well as ongoing activity.

You will be a ‘go-to’ person to support our company and our team during this important stage of development.

Duties

Business administration and overseeing procedures and policies

  • Establish and maintain Agrecalc document control processes, on-line document libraries and collaboration platforms as well as business governance.
  • Establish and maintain a management system, working with staff, contractors and committees to ensure practices and processes are documented and communicated to ensure efficient running of the business.
  • Provide administration tasks to the business functions.
  • Support meetings by taking notes and recording actions.
  • Scheduling meetings and training sessions with customers and partners.

Finance Administration

  • Provide Agrecalc finance administration.
  • Routine management of the Xero accounting platform.
  • Ensure timely processing and payment of invoicing.
  • Work closely with Commercial team to ensure timely issue of license renewals and project invoicing. Including pro-active closure of outstanding invoices.
  • Work closely with the accountants to ensure timely preparation of annual returns to Company’s House.
  • Manage the accounts and renewals of Agrecalc contracted services & platforms, such as insurance renewal, digital platforms (Hubspot, Microsoft, WordPress etc).

Support users, customers, prospective customers, partners and other key stakeholders

  • Work closely with the Agrecalc Customer Development Manager and Marketing Manager in the provision of support and communications to our audiences.
  • Provide key administrative support to the Agrecalc engagement activities. This includes, but not limited to, webinars, workshops and training.

Skills and experience

Essential requirements

Experience

  • Confidence working with digital platforms (Agrecalc) and CRM systems (Hubspot).
  • Experience of working with accounting software (Xero preferred).
  • Strong expertise in working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and high standards, with respect to completion and follow through.
  • Strong numeracy and the ability to work with data and spreadsheets.
